After a successful run last year, the GR Photo Festival is back!
Unlike conventional contests where entries are ranked in order of excellence, professional photographers will be commissioned from around the world to select works from their own perspectives. With no prize or prize money, this contest is open to all professional and amateur photographers.
Open to all GR customers around the world, the GR Photo Festival is based on the ordinary pleasures and passion for photography –– “Take out your camera. Enjoy daily photographs.” The contest encourages participants to seek precious moments in their ordinary day to day lives and capture them with their GR.
Selected photos from last year’s contest were displayed in the GR Photo Festival 2022 exhibition in Gallery Le Deco, Tokyo; RICOH Imaging GR Space, Shanghai; Foto Nivo Schweitzer, Amsterdam and RICOH Imaging Square, Paris. In addition to the venues last year, plans to expand the exhibitions to the US are under discussion.
The jury announcement and entries will be open to participants in October. The photographs submitted must have been shot between December 2022 and December 2023.
